Anthony Debassige -- Director of Technology

Anthony has been involved in the telecommunications industry for over 19 years holding various hats in R&D in the hi-tech sector in the Ottawa area. In addition to software development he has also been involved in quality assurance, process engineering, and operations team lead.

Before joining MarkeTel, he was a Senior Developer at Gridpoint Systems in Kanata, ON. At Gridpoint, he was involved in developing MPLS and PBB-TE service and network management solutions As part of a small team of 4 developers, he provided software development, quality improvement, and quality assurance with a focus on test automation.

Prior to Gridpoint, he was a consultant providing development services and worked for Nortel for 15 years. He was a software developer, operations team leader, and process engineer all with a focus on quality improvement. He was instrumental in various projects including network management, ATM/Frame Relay network edge switch development, etc. As an operations team leader, he was tasked with ensuring the weekly successful compile, load build, and 24/7 on-call pager support for a 2nd level support group. As a Quality Improvement and Process Engineer, he was a part of the Nortel Ottawa Lab Council representing the Public Carrier Networks Division. He introduced Root Cause Analysis and other similar initiatives and played a significant role in achieving ISO certification, and Trillium Process Maturity certification.

Anthony is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy. He is also an intermediate level hockey coach and understands characteristics of effective teams. MarkeTel is excited to have such qualified individual to bring vision, thought leadership, product innovation and quality to MarkeTel’s current and future products.
