Full computer interface:
With a full computer interface, each telemarketer requires a
computer. The telemarketer receives information on each prospect through a contact
management program. Some predictive dialers use common contact management systems
such as ACT, Maximizer, Telemagic, or Gold Mine. Because these programs are
relatively common, consultants can be hired to train telemarketers. If the predictive
dialer uses its own proprietary contact management software, then each telemarketing
manager will be required to master the software in order to train the staff.
A full computer interface should only be used if telemarketers
require detailed information on each and every prospect. If forced to use a
full computer interface, it is advisable to use a non-proprietary contact management
system, as they are more stable and easier to use.
If callers are only generating sales or leads, then a full computer
interface is usually not needed in most cases. More efficient and cost effective
methods can be used.
Small screen interface:
A small screen interface is a simple way to take full advantage
of predictive dialing without the complications of extensive contact management.
A small screen interface is intended to only supply telemarketers with the basic
information that they need to do their job effectively such as name, phone number,
address, etc. Because of the simplicity of the interface, telemarketers can
be trained in a matter of minutes rather than days or hours.
