MarkeTel Predictive Dialers as easy to install as a home stereo.
Once you receive your dialer, follow a few easy steps and you are up and running.
Connect dialers to the computer with the 9-Pin connector
cable included. Do not be afraid of incorrectly choosing a port on the computer
as Rapid Contact can be configured to accept any fitting plug.
Connect telephone lines to dialers. On the front
of the MarkeTel Dialer, you will notice a row of 6 RJ-11 jacks on the top and
8 RJ-11 telephone jacks on the bottom. You may plug all of the 8-row jacks into
any active standard telephone jacks. These telephone lines must supply the standard
"tip and ring" configuration that your home telephone uses. If you can plug your
home phone into it, it'll work with the MarkeTel Predictive dialer.
Connect up to 6 telephones to each dialer into slots
labeled 'Operator Stations'. Each station is numbered so that corresponding numbers
on the display cable match. Arrange operator stations slightly further apart than
with manual dialing methods since each operator will be talking much more frequently. NOTE: The sixth station is not intended for regular use. Rather, it is
available for emergency use if a telephone breaks, display station, etc. All precautions
have been taken to ensure that your telemarketers don't have downtime. Some client
have been able to use this station for campaigns with low no-answer rates such
as business to business campaigns.
Ensure that all numbers match between the display
cable and Operator telephones. Connect all display units to the display cable
provided, and then plug the display cable into the dialer.
Plug electricity into your dialer. You would be
surprised how often this is overlooked!
Place the installation disk in the computer and
follow the installation instructions.
