Position: Customer Service Rep.
                - reporting to Contact Centre Manager
Date: May. 09, 2008

Description:

The Customer Service Rep. (CSR) is responsible for initiating outbound telephone calls in the nature related to the current campaign. Different campaigns will require the CSR to obtain sales, set appointments, collect information for surveys, and fundraise for reputable charities or non-profit organizations.
The CSR may be required to answer incoming telephone calls.
The CSR may also be required to communicate via e-mail to customers or prospects.


Key Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in the English language.


  • Business knowledge and knowledge of customer service: ability to find information required to serve the customer, ability to listen and exchange information over the phone; ability to deal with emotional customers.


  • Multi-task (i.e. speaking, typing, and browsing for information at the same time).


  • Technological skills to manipulate a variety of applications, databases and the internet.


  • Conflict resolutions skills.


  • Ability to adapt to change.


  • Sales skills to cross-sell, up-sell and market contact centre’s products and services.


  • Ability to type at minimum level of 30 wpm.


  • Strong customer service focus.


  • Good understanding of e-mail etiquette.


  • Self-discipline and highly motivated self-starter.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills.


  • Listening, patience and action oriented.



Education:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent is an asset.



Work Experience:

  • Experience in the contact centre industry is an asset.
